This set of Then and Now photos, belonging to Champaign County Historical Society, features a circa 1935 photo identified as Erie Railroad tracks, across Miami Street, looking southwest. It shows 2 sets of tracks connecting up with a third set of tracks, a flagman’s shanty (house or shelter), Burton Guthrie’s grocery store, at 621 Miami Street, along with several houses and cars on the other side of the track crossing.

The 2015 Now photo pictures the west parking lot of the former Johnson Manufacturing Company parking lot taken from the driveway of the All-Phase Electrical Supply Company, looking southwest (but east of the Depot Coffee House, not visible in the photos).

This set of photos, numbered A 1551, was assembled by Ward Lutz for the Then and Now series belonging to Champaign County Historical Society, located at 809 East Lawn Avenue, Urbana, open to the public free of charge Monday and Tuesday, 10 a.m. to 4 pm, and for groups by appointment.
