Volunteers sought for September Alzheimer’s walk

SPRINGFIELD – The Alzheimer’s Association Miami Valley Chapter invites Clark and Champaign county residents to a Volunteer Open House 4:30-6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 26, to learn how to volunteer for the 2016 Walk to End Alzheimer’s. The Open House will take place at the Stables Restaurant at Windy Knoll, 500 Roscommon Drive. Food and drink will be provided and a cash bar will be available. Stop by any time to learn more and speak with other volunteers.

The Springfield Walk to End Alzheimer’s will be held on Saturday, Sept. 17, at Wittenberg University. Learn more and register for the walk online at alz.org/walk or by calling the 24/7 Helpline at 800-272-3900.

Alzheimer’s disease is a health epidemic affecting more than 16,000 members of the Clark and Champaign county communities.
